Love a good s'more. Like all good camping trips, this one involved way too much food and just enough alcohol.

I made some quality BBQ chicken over the campfire. How did I get here? Well, last week I made an appearance at a "Girls' Night" held by some of my female (semi) co-workers. And by that I mean while I was the only duck captain there, the rest of the people work at the Ducks, either for the "Sharpshooters" (who take pictures of the tourists before they get on the duck) or in the ticketbooth. Anyway, I got drunk and decided we should all go camping. Amazingly enough, it actually happened and on Monday night six of us girls and Travis headed up to Deception Pass, which you may remember as the site of basically all my camping experiences.

So one benefit of camping with three professional photographers is that there are probably over 500 photos of the two-day trip and most of them are already uploaded on MySpace, so I can post these pictures the day after I get back. Also, between the cameras, not a minute of the trip went undocumented, including the half hour or so I spent lighting a stick on fire and spelling out everyone's name in the air. (It took me several times to get "Tina" right, for some reason.)

There is a much better "Merry Christmas from all of us" shot that I'll post later when I get it, but this one is good enough for now. Me, Margot, Shauna, Tina, and Travis after packing up on Wednesday morning. I saw five shooting stars the night before.
