Map How Far I Walked Around Seattle Carrying a Bike Wheel

I feel like that little kid in Family Circus, but this is how I spent my Sunday.

Check out my map. It would make a lot more sense if I was successful at adding notes, but I was not. Highlights included taking my rear wheel to Recycled Cycles this morning hoping they'd be able to remove the cassette, but being told that it wasn't a cassette but a freewheel and so the final step of my singlespeed project was not happening, picking up my new belt (and some bright-ass new bike lights) at REI, chai at Inner Chapters, cribbage in the park with Diana, talking with Cara while chilling in the other park that is definitely not a reservoir (although there is a cool fountain that looks like a stone igloo with water running over it), dinner with Chloe at the Honey Hole on Pike St., and finally catching the #16 home, ten hours later, still carrying the bike wheel.

Very impressive. Why did you have all those plans to meet people when you knew you wouldn't have your bike? Good luck on your project!

I'm the most impressed by the fact that you created and embedded that super cool map on your blog. Cyber-envy...

And I am most impressed by your use of sophisticated bike lingo . . . and the number of friends you have whose names start with the letter C.
