I was going to write about finding a rotting pepper in my backpack the other day because it seemed like the type of anecdote one would blog about. Then I thought that if I were going to tell a story about finding produce in unexpected places, it would be better to write about the time when I found the orange in the freezer. Unlike the story about the pepper, which has a predictable ending, the orange in the freezer remains a mystery.

was it your freezer? did you eat it?
also, i dont think i understand blogs. is this 'homepage' all there is? is there some missing link to a really long diatribe about whole foods?
lastly, i dont like that blogger wont let me captialize my OWN name. LAURA
laura, don't you know? lowercase is way cooler in blog-land...
it was my freezer, but no i didn't eat it. i took it out to thaw and then i forgot about it. when i asked megan if she ate it, she said she had thrown it away because it was rotting. "well it wouldn't have rotted if you didn't put it in the freezer," i said. "i didn't put it in the freezer," she said. like i said, it's a mystery.
i swear i didn't put it in the freezer. why would i do something that strange?
hi meg! sorry cecil leaves rotting food around your apt. thats just not considerate.
cecil, cant wait to see what you cook up for tomorrow. i argue that since you have created this monster you must constantly feed it. otherwise when all of us check it we will be bored and sad. good luck.
