Shaw was nice enough to fly across the country for a whirlwind but comprehensive weekend tour of Seattle. Here are some pictures from Day 2. In chronological order (and now with captions!):

The Troll, of course. Looks like he re-applied his makeup since last week. That is a real VW bug in his left hand. And a real Shaw next to the car. (And yes, you're right--these pictures should not be titled "Shawless in Seattle" because not only is that an awful pun, but these photos are actually from when Seattle was Shawful for a few days.)

Gas Works Park. My favorite toxic-industrial-site-turned-park.

Oh duck boats. How I miss you. Now I have no vehicle (literally) for foisting sarcasm on unsuspecting Midwesterners.

Houseboats and housebarges. One day I will live on one of these puppies.

A crazy half-view of Mt. Rainer from the UW, which unfortunately didn't come out in the picture. You could only see the bottom half beneath a perfectly horizontal cloud--it looked like someone had torn a photo of it in half and stuck it on the horizon.

Coffee-shopping it before a salmon dinner. Not drinking coffee or anything. Don't want to overdo the Seattle-ness. Although you're not going to chai this spicy at Dunkin Donuts, that's for sure.

Shaw and I are going to watch Sleepless in Seattle when we get back to Philly. I think you should drive a duck boat across the country. Road trip!
Great pics! I'll send you the one of you and the duck boat - I think it would be a great addition to the blog.
